The practice runs an appointment system for most of the surgeries. To make an appointment please telephone or call into the surgery during normal working hours.
It is also possible to book appointments on the internet but you will need to register for this service before using it.
Most of our appointments for routine problems are available in advance to allow patients to plan ahead.
For continuity of care it is normally most appropriate to see the same doctor you usually see and therefore best to book a routine appointment.
If you need to be seen sooner than the next available appointment, we offer a same day triage service. You need to contact the surgery
before 10.00am - either in person or preferably by telephone.
You will be briefly assessed by a doctor who will decide the best person to deal with your problem. You will be asked to identify the one urgent problem that you have that day.
In non urgent cases you will be asked to book a routine appointment. If your problem is urgent you will be seen by the duty doctor - this could involve a long wait.

Urgent Problems
Emergencies and genuine urgent problems will be seen without an appointment by the first available doctor after an initial telephone conversation. This is normally the same day but always within 24 hours. Children with urgent problems will be seen the same day.
There will be times when the doctors or nurse appointments may be running late due to someone needing more time. The reception staff are often working under pressure so we would appreciate your co-operation and patience.
Extended Hours Surgery
We offer a pre booked late evening surgery on a Wednesday up to 7.30 pm.
Saturday is for pre booked appointments only which are available between 9.00 am and 11.00 am. We DO NOT offer a drop in service on Saturday.
Both of these surgeries are available to be booked one week in advance and are intended for people who find it difficult to access our normal opening times.
Telephone Advice
Telephone consultations are available most days. The doctor can give you medical advice, particularly where an examination is not necessary.
If you need to speak to a particular doctor or nurse the most convenient time to telephone is between 11.30am and 2.00pm. It may be necessary for the person to ring you back, this may not be the same day depending on other priorities. Consultation Times
Appointments with your GP are booked to last 10 minutes. If you have a problem which you think may take longer please mention to the receptionist when you make your appointment so that you are given the right amount of time. You may have to wait a few days for a longer appointment.
