Practice Responsibilities
We will give you the following:
- Access to medical services
- Choice of clinics
- Information about medical records
- Redress for grievances
- Safety of premises
Patient obligations
- We would ask you to be courteous at all times
- Arrive promptly for appointments
- Be polite to all members of staff
- Please understand unforeseen delays may occur.
It is not the receptionist's fault if the doctor is
delayed. We will keep you informed of any delays.
An appointment is for one patient only. Please make
every effort to be on time for your appointment. If you
are unable to attend please let us know so that we can
offer the appointment to someone else.
Policy on aggressive behaviour – Patients
Responsibility
The practice will not tolerate any patient being
verbally or physically abusive. Anyone behaving in this
manner will be removed from the practice list and the
Police and Primary Care Trust will be notified as
appropriate.
The doctors and nurses aim to provide the service that
people need. This may mean that they are delayed because
someone needed more time. The reception staff are often
working under pressure so we would appreciate your
co-operation and patience.
