Advocacy Service
Offers help and support with housing problems, benefits
advice and complaints.
Antenatal
The midwives are available to see at the surgery or will
arrange to see you at home.
Asthma
A patient who has Asthma can be seen in Asthma clinic
with the nurse by appointment. Our aim is to see all
Asthma patients yearly.
Carer
If you care for another person help, advice and support
is available. More details of this are available at
reception.
Chiropody
There is a weekly chiropody clinic staffed by the
community chiropodist. Initial appointment is only by
arrangement through the doctor and is intended for older
people and those with specific medical problems.
Counselling
If you feel you would like to talk to a counsellor you
can be referred after a discussion with the doctor.
Diabetes
Patients with diabetes are invited regularly for a
review and assessment of their condition. We would like
to see you yearly to ensure that there are no problems.
Health Promotion
We provide help and advice for people who want to give
up smoking, lose weight. We will advise you about
alcohol intake, healthy eating and the importance of
exercise.
Interpreters
If English is not your first language, an interpreting
service is available. Please enquire at reception.
Minor surgery
Available for the removal of moles,
cysts and various other procedures after an assessment
by the GP.
New patients
We invite all new patients to have a health check. This gives us useful information about your health as it may be several weeks before your medical records to arrive.
Over 75 Health Check
We do not routinely invite patients who are over 75 years of age, but if you would like to come and see a GP or a nurse to discuss any concerns then please make an appointment.
Physiotherapy
There is a physiotherapist in attendance at a weekly
clinic. Appointments are arranged by the doctor.
Regular Patients
As a registered patient you are entitled to make an
appointment to see a doctor at any time. If you have not
been seen for over three years this can simply be for a
review of your general health.
Stop smoking advice
Help and advice is available if you would like to stop smoking. Health Care Assistants offer 1-1 support or you can contact the Stop Smoking Service on 0800 068 4490
Travel health and immunisation
Patients wishing to be vaccinated prior to their holiday
are asked to make an appointment with the practice nurse
at least 6 weeks before they travel.
Well baby clinic
This clinic offers routine checks, child immunisations
and general advice.
Well woman clinic
We have a well woman clinic which offers contraception,
cervical smear, hormone replacement therapy and general
advice.
